Good luck!I’m with @Maxwell – I found the entries charming. Oddly enough, my favorite was I’LL BE DARNED. I see the point about its not really “working,” but I choose to overthink other things. I guess no one darns anymore because socks are pretty much disposable these days. I buy’em at Walmart, 5 pairs for less than a six pack of beer. Our good socks, though, the nice camping/hiking wool ones that don’t make you itch…I’d love to know how to darn those. That southeast corner is pretty cosmopolitan, right?LOO over the BEEB and OED. Italian TRE and LEGATO, French OEUVRE, Spanish DIA. I didn’t know “HUNKERED down” meant hid. The way I use it, it means to settle in somewhere for a bit and get serious. I hunkered down and learned the steps for getting the inverse matrix of a 3x3 using determinants.
